Rev. Radhika Sukumar-White

Ministry Team Leader

Radhika (she/her) has been a Minister of the Word in the Uniting Church since 2016. She is a 2nd Generation Sri Lankan Tamil Australian, and grew up in Canberra before moving to Sydney to study Physiotherapy, Music, and then Theology. Radhika is passionate about leading vibrant worship, preaching and teaching, and walking alongside individuals in their life and faith journey. She and her husband Adrian are privileged to have been called to Leichhardt Uniting Church as a ministry team. Radhika is also deeply passionate about brunch.

REV ADRIAN SUKUMAR-WHITE

Minister and Uniting Church Chaplain at University of Sydney

Adrian (he/him) has been a Uniting Church minister for 8 years. He previously trained as an engineer, and has had many years of experience working in tertiary ministry. Adrian has a passion for helping people to find their vocation – where their gifts, skills and passions meet the needs of God’s world. He also loves teaching, having a chat over a beer, and all things tech-related!

JESSICA SHAW

Community & Operations Manager

Jessica (she/her) grew up in Sydney and studied in the area of Graphic and Textile Design. She worked for many years as a Graphic Designer. With a growing young family she formed a hospitality business with her partner setting up cafes and coffee shops for over a decade. Jessica has continued art practice throughout her life especially painting and drawing. She is currently studying Community Services and has a keen interest in social justice issues and creative arts therapies.

Abbey Sim

Administration/Communications Worker

Abbey (she/her) joined the LUC team in 2021 as an Administration and Communications Worker, a role she balances with part-time study in theology. She is particularly passionate about welcoming all people into the ministry and calling God has bestowed upon them, regardless of gender. Abbey is also a keen knitter and a trained cricket umpire.
