Build Community

at leichhardt uniting church

Leichhardt Uniting Church is a committed community of Jesus' followers. We welcome all who seek God’s love and grace. We welcome all because God welcomes all, regardless of race, culture, age, sexual orientation, gender diversity or relationship status. We welcome all without regard to physical or mental health, socio-economic circumstances, educational background or anything that too often divides us. Our unity is in Christ.

Sunday worship services are held in the Church at 3 Wetherill Street Leichhardt at 10:00 am and 6:30 pm.

The 10:00 am service is also livestreamed to Facebook.

Epworth House is an intentional Christian student community, closely connected to Leichhardt Uniting Church (in fact, it’s right next door - 5 Wetherill Street, Leichhardt!).

As a Christian community (of students and graduates), it exists to nurture and enable its residents to grow in Christ together and build up the life and witness of Leichhardt Uniting Church. It is not a boarding house of independent residents. As primarily a household of believers, it requires of its members real participation in the worship and missional life of Leichhardt Uniting Church, together with a commitment to share in the welfare and lives of all Epworth House residents.

Like Leichhardt Uniting Church, Epworth House is a "safe and affirming place" for all community members.

Kids @ LUC

At Leichhardt Uniting Church, everyone is welcome - including children! We're totally fine with kids running around and making noise - that's how God made them. We have couches, a change table and changing mat available.

Our Sunday school, LUC-y Ducks, runs fortnightly during school terms as part of our 10am service. It is a safe space for toddlers, preschoolers and primary school-aged children to explore faith.
